Cadoret, Annie

Annie Cadoret grew up in Saint-Romuald, Québec with her two brothers. Her house was well-known as the fun place to be for all the kids in the neighbourhood. After graduating from high school in 1996, she went to the Cégep to study Arts and then went to study cooking to become a renowned chef. Seeing that there weren't many opportunities in these areas, she decided to work-full time at Hamel Inc., a frozen food manufacturer. When her contract at Hamel Inc. ended in April 1999, she decided it was time for a new adventure. She packed-up her bags to go work in Banff. It was a great challenge for her as she didn't speak English but she believed that being in an English speaking environment would be the best way to learn it. She worked as a housekeeper for about three months, and then decided to move to Calgary where there were plenty of career opportunities.
Annie gave birth to her beautiful daughter Emy on May 7th 2000 at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary. Annie was a stay at home mom for the first two years of Emy's life while working part-time in the evening and studying accounting during Emy's nap times. In May 2002, Annie started to work full-time at Intuit Greenpoint, now known as Intuit Canada, as a bilingual technical support agent. Annie soon became a leader. During the summer of 2004, Annie got promoted to a Tax Analyst position due to her hard work, dedication and, of course, her love of tax issues.
After two years in that position, she decided it was time to move on to a tax staff position at Ernst & Young as she wanted to acquire experience in U.S. tax. In June 2007, Annie then moved to KPMG to work as a tax specialist and is thriving to become a manager within the coming year.
Annie loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys oil painting, biking and gardening when time permits.
